The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival announced that the December event raised $250,000 total for the Cardinal Shehan Center and the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center.

These two nonprofit agencies received checks for $125,000 each and were accepted by Terry O’Connor, executive director of the Cardinal Shehan Center, and Donna Twist, executive director of the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center.

“We were proud to bring these two local organizations together to pool their resources and create a health awareness pilot program to combat breast cancer,” said Moira Rachel, president of the Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival. “This partnership between the Shehan Center and the Norma Pfriem Breast Cancer Center is a much-needed resource for women. The Festival was thrilled to honor them by raising funds to support not only this new program but to support their current programs which continues well after our December event.”
