Workshop series — Live Well, a free six-week workshop series will be offered at The Child and Family Guidance Center on Fridays, Feb. 8, 15 and 22, and March 1, 8 and 15, from 2:15-4:45 p.m. Workshops are interactive with new topics covered each week. Fitness series — The Black Rock Branch presents ‘Get Fit Bridgeport,’ physical fitness series using exercise DVDs that are available at the library, Mondays and Wednesdays, noon-1 p.m. The format includes a 15-minute welcome and education, 30-minute walking with the video and 15-minute handout /repeat education and close. Crafts for kids — The Black Rock Branch Library offers ‘Fabulous Fridays,’ a monthly craft program for kids, 3:30 p.m. Participants will make bird feeders out of water bottles in honor of National Bird Feeding Month. Zoo’s new animals — Beardsley Zoo invites the public to meet its newest additions; zoo hours Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; adult admission (ages 12 and older) is $12, children (ages 3 to 11) and senior admission (62 and older) $10, and children under 3 and zoo members admitted free.
