Bridgeport Police officers saves 17-year-old from sex trafficking

This morning, the Bridgeport Police Department arrested a Waterbury man while saving a 17 year-old Bridgeport girl from suspected sex trafficking.

On August 26, 2015 at around 2:30 a.m., police officers responded to a reported incident at the Sunnyside Inn (174 Lake St., Bridgeport, Conn.).

After arriving on the scene, a 17 year-old Bridgeport girl alleged that Brandon Williams — born on 03/16/81 of 21 Cliff St. in Waterbury, Conn. — was holding the juvenile against her will, forcing her to engage in sex trafficking.

Subsequently, Williams was arrested, and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond for violation of probation pending further charges.

The 17 year-old girl was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she is in stable condition. She is currently recovering in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
