Bridgeport Police spokesman William Kaempffer said late Wednesday that Lincoln was the dead person found in the industrial area.  The state chief medical examiner’s office in Farmington said the cause of Lincoln’s death is homicidal violence of an undetermined type. The manner of her death is homicide.

Kaempffer did not comment on the condition of Lincoln’s body when officers located her.

Marcus Jackson, the man last seen with Lincoln on March 27, was found dead Monday at his home in Stratford. The medical examiner’s office determined his death to be suicide via a gunshot wound to head. Bridgeport police officers said they heard a gunshot inside Jackson’s home as they knocked on the door and found him dead when they went inside. Jackson was considered a person of interest in Lincoln’s disappearance.

Lincoln was last seen at 11:12 p.m. March 27 after she left the Old Timers Club at 1296 Stratford Ave. She was escorted out by Jackson, the owner of the building, Lincoln and Jackson were last seen walking together to Jackson’s truck, a Ford F150 pickup. They were last seen traveling south on Wilmot Avenue.

Lincoln’s family reported her missing March 31.

Detectives investigating the disappearance spoke with Jackson and other witnesses and reviewed hours of security footage from the area. Bridgeport and Stratford police have been working with the FBI and Connecticut State Police.

Kaempffer did not comment on if police believe if Jackson was involved with Lincoln’s death.

“It all remains open. I don’t want to state anything without certainty,” he said, adding that an axe was not found at the scene as had been reported elsewhere.

Bridgeport and Stratford police have been working with the FBI and Connecticut State Police.
