Obama to visit Bridgeport Wednesday

President Barack Obama will join Governor Dan Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch, and other elected officials and Democratic leaders at an election rally Wednesday night in Bridgeport.

The President will rally support for Malloy’s re-election at Central High School at 8 Wednesday night.

The event is open to the public free of charge. Tickets will be distributed starting at 3 this afternoon at 908 Wood Avenue and 2484 East Main Street, both in Bridgeport. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited space, only a limited number of tickets will be distributed.

Wednesday, members of the public with tickets should enter Central High School via the gate located off Madison Avenue. Doors Open: 5:30 that afternoon. Tickets are required for entry. Tickets are not for sale or re-sale.

Saying he was thrilled to welcome the President and Governor, Finch praised Obama and Malloy for such initiatives as the reopening of Pleasure Beach, breaking ground on Steelpointe Harbor that the “building” of a second train station.
