Notre Dame High School in Fairfield will hold its 56th graduation ceremony on Friday, June 3, at 6 p.m., in the school’s gymnasium.


Bridgeport preschool plans walk for early childhood education

The Adam J. Lewis Preschool located at 246 Lenox Avenue in Bridgeport’s West End is sponsoring a walk at St. Mary’s-by-the-Sea to increase awareness of the importance of a stimulating and nurturing early childhood education.


Sikorsky volunteers teach Junior Achievement programs to Waltersville School students

More than 20 volunteers from Sikorsky Aircraft shared their time and knowledge to teach important financial concepts to more than 400 students in grades K-8 at Waltersville School in Bridgeport.

Team members Chris Torok, Nick Saint, Brandon D'Agostino, Nichole Dineson and Blake Bennett. The team assembled the quadcopter, designed and 3D printed the rotor protection, and integrated a suite of sensors including real-time video and ambient data display — all in two months while keeping up with their demanding course load.

Housatonic Community College students engage in NASA CT Space Challenge

Five Housatonic Community College students, Blake Bennett of Washington Depot, Brandon D’Agostino and Nichole Dineson, of Milford, Nicholas Saint of Norwalk, and Christopher Torok of Stratford, comprised the HCC team who competed at the Community College Quadcopter Challenge on Friday, May 13 at the Konover Center, University of Hartford.
