On Thursday, July 9, a group of residents from Northbridge Health Care, Bridgeport, attended a very special Bridgeport Bluefish game, the Heroes for Heroes Legends Game, to support Homes for the Brave, “Former Yankees vs. Former Red Sox”. The residents cheered for former baseball legends from the Red Sox Team, Ellis Burks, Bill “Spaceman” Lee, “Oil Can” Boyd, Mike Timlin and Scott Cooper, and the Yankees Team, Charlie Hayes, Jim Leyritz, Jesse Barfield, Matt Nokes and Scott Kamieniecki. Resident, Joe Sciappa even caught a fly ball! They enjoyed dinner and snacks at the ballpark and even had a visit from B.B. the Bluefish Mascot. It was a great evening for all. Northbridge Health Care Center, located in the Greater Bridgeport area, offers a wide variety of services designed as a bridge to improved health and rehabilitation. The focus is on people — the residents and the families cared for by a dedicated and devoted team of experienced professionals. Northbridge Health Care Center is managed by Athena Health Care Systems.
