Resident Maryann and husband, Bill, dine at the “Couples Brunch” at Northbridge on Valentine’s Day.
Northbridge Health Care Center celebrated Valentine’s Day with something for everyone. A brunch was served for the resident couples and a special menu for lunch was served to all of the other residents.
The Resident Council also held a fund-raiser selling “Valentine-o-grams” that included carnations, Valentine Cards and songs sung by staff, personally delivered by the recreation staff. These gifts were purchased by residents and staff for each other. Songs included “My Girl,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Bushel and a Peck,” “Side by Side” and “Blue Moon.” All 145 residents received gifts and individual Valentine cards.
At 2 p.m., the residents enjoyed piano music and songs in the Sunshine Room with Brian Gillie.
